Madison Karr, who goes by Matti, was a student at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, when she wrote the book. She graduated in December of 2020 and now lives in Dallas, Texas, where she works at Medical City Dallas Management, Ltd. as an Executive Assistant.

Jamie Ruthenberg is a Detroit-born author, artist, and illustrator. Currently, she is both the author and illustrator of Miles Educational Series. As a self-taught artist, Jamie creates her illustrations with a number two pencil and watercolor paint.
